You’ll witness the traditional way of collecting fishing nets, try your hand at fishing with a rod, and enjoy a refreshing swim at a quiet beach. It’s a simple, authentic way to connect with the sea — and take home whatever you catch! All of this unfolds against the backdrop of the stunning island of Kythira, known for its unspoiled nature and crystal-clear waters.

Itinerary

Meeting at 7:00 AM in Avlemonas, one of the most beautiful fishing villages in the Mediterranean

Setting sail towards the point where the nets were placed by the captain the previous night

While collecting the nets, we can learn and participate in sorting and cleaning

Enjoying swimming in the crystal waters of Kythira, trying our hand with fishing lines or simply appreciate its beautiful landscape and the sun

You’re welcome to take the day’s catch home or bring it to a nearby taverna, where it can be prepared for you in the traditional Greek way
